Release Note

Collaborative Report Review

Release date:

Reports can now move through a proper review chain. Send a report to one or more reviewers, or to a whole role such as Senior Clinicians. The reviewer can edit it directly, then approve it, send it on, or send it back to you. Every edit, comment and decision is kept in the report's history.

How It Works

• Submit for review: pick reviewers (people or roles) and click Submit for Review. A review panel appears with Chain, Comments and Audit tabs.
• Reviewing: reviewers get a notification and an Awaiting your review badge. Opening the report lets them edit it directly while others can read along.
• Decisions: Approve, Approve with comments, Approve and publish, or Route to another person or role, with a note for whoever is next.
• Comments and pins: anyone on the chain can comment, or pin a comment to a specific paragraph.
• Full audit: the Audit tab lists every edit, comment and decision, with a View edit link showing exactly what changed.

Superuser Settings

• Enable collaborative review workflow for your workspace.
• Optionally require a review before a report can be published.
• Optionally require a reason when a report is unpublished or a review is cancelled.
• Superusers can force release a report left open by a reviewer, and finalise an approved report if the author is away.

Where to Find It

Control Panel > General Settings > Report Approval Settings. Available on workspaces using the V2 report builder, and off until a Superuser turns it on.
