Release Note

Reminders Control Panel

Release date:

The new Reminders Control Panel brings full control over automated appointment reminders into one place, replacing the single all-or-nothing reminder setting in Notification Settings (and hidden account settings that previously needed developer time to change). Practices can now send multiple reminders at different lead times, choose the channel and template for each, and see every reminder on the client's timeline.

What's new

Available under Control Panel > Reminders.

• Multiple reminders per appointment — up to three, each sent independently (for example, an email 3 days before and an SMS 2 hours before)
• Flexible timing — each reminder can be scheduled anywhere from 1 hour up to 7 days before the appointment
• Per-reminder channels — send each one by email, SMS, or both
• Template selection — each reminder can use a chosen email and/or SMS template, or the default
• Individual on/off control for each reminder, plus a master toggle to switch all appointment reminders off without losing the configuration
• Change history — every change records what changed, who made it, and when

Reminder activity log

Appointment reminders now appear on the client's activity timeline:

• A new Reminder entry is logged each time a reminder is sent
• SMS reminders show the message text inline
• Email reminders include a View contents link that opens the exact email sent
• A new Reminders filter in the activity feed shows only these entries

This gives practices clear insight into whether reminders were sent and what they contained.

Good to know

No setup is required to keep current reminders running — your existing appointment-reminder preferences and timing have been automatically migrated into the Reminders Control Panel, so reminders continue exactly as before.
