Youth safety at the core of the system
What does Tacklit do for a youth mentoring program?
Tacklit gives a mentoring program the structure a funder expects without turning mentoring into a clinical encounter: note formats and profiles built for non-clinical roles, role-based access so a mentor sees only their own young people, digital consent with a full audit trail including guardian consent for minors, cohort-based group sessions and paced digital programs, and validated measures trended into reporting.

Clinical software is wrong. So is a spreadsheet.
A spreadsheet gives you nothing to show a funder except anecdotes.
Youth mentoring doesn't fit clinical software, and it doesn't fit spreadsheets either. Your mentors aren't clinicians, so a clinical record forces them into templates that don't match their role and shows them things they shouldn't see. But a spreadsheet gives you no consent trail, no safeguarding visibility, and nothing to show a funder except anecdotes.
Add the realities of working with young people: parent and guardian consent, cohorts that run to school terms, mentors who need just enough structure to record a session well, and program leads who need to see across every match. Most systems handle none of it.
Enough structure to be safe and reportable
Lived Experience Workforce
Records that fit the role
Mentors get profiles and note formats designed for non-clinical roles, through the same block our peer-workforce services use. Role-based access means a mentor sees their own young people and nothing more, while program leads and any clinical staff see what their role requires. Everyone works on the same record, safely.
Base
Consent done properly
Digital consent attaches to the record with a full audit trail, and it handles the reality of working with minors: consent granted by a parent or guardian, recorded with who consented, when, and to what. Record retention is configured to meet the requirements for working with young people in your jurisdiction.
Digital Programs
Programs that run in cohorts
Set up group sessions once and track attendance against both the group and each young person. Digital programs release activities and content at the right pace across a term rather than all at once, with progress tracking that shows which matches are thriving and which need attention.
Analytics
Outcomes you can show a funder
Validated measures, auto-scored and trended across the program, so wellbeing change is measured rather than asserted. The services report turns live data into the numbers funders and boards expect. When the next funding round comes, the evidence is already there.
Referral + Waitlist
A front door for referrals
Schools, services and families refer through custom forms that capture exactly what your program needs, into one inbox for triage, with an ordered waitlist behind it.
Mobile
Recorded from a phone, straight after
The iOS and Android apps mean a mentor can record the session where it happened, while it's fresh, not from memory on a laptop three days later.

Safe and reportable, without going clinical
Raise Foundation runs its youth mentoring programs on Tacklit, and their case study is published. We built the platform for mental health and shaped it with lived experience, which is exactly the sensibility youth mentoring needs.
Base is included; you add only the blocks your program needs.

Youth mentoring software: common questions
Our mentors are volunteers, not clinicians. Will they actually use it?
That's the design brief. Note formats fit the role, access is limited to what each mentor needs, and the mobile apps mean a session can be recorded from a phone straight after it happens.
How do you handle consent for under-18s?
Consent is recorded against the record with the consenting party, date and scope, with a full audit trail. Guardian consent for minors is standard, and consent status is visible where the work happens.
Can we report outcomes across a whole program cohort?
Yes. Assessments are scored and trended per young person, and dashboards and services reports aggregate across programs, cohorts and sites from live data.
