Non-Active Episode Restrictions

Feb 12, 2026

Data Restrictions for Non-Active Episodes

A new toggle gives practice administrators greater control over what can be modified within non-active (closed or inactive) episodes.

How It Works

When the toggle is enabled, only Superusers can create or edit data within non-active episodes. For all other users, the following restrictions apply:

  • Appointments — cannot be created, cancelled, or updated

  • Health Information — cannot be edited

  • Case Notes — cannot be created, edited, or deleted

  • Invoices — cannot be created or updated

  • Letters — cannot be created or updated; drafts cannot be published

  • Reports — cannot be created or updated; drafts cannot be published

Audit Trail

If a Superuser creates or edits data within a non-active episode, the corresponding activity log item will include a note detailing the changes made — ensuring full transparency and accountability.
