Tacklit Account Handover Policy

In line with industry best practices, Tacklit allows account owners to designate an individual or service as a successor to manage their account in the event of unexpected service termination.

1. Purpose

This policy outlines the procedures and permissions for the transfer of a Tacklit account to a designated person or organisation in the event of the account holder’s death or incapacitation. The goal is to ensure the secure and seamless handover of account management and data access.

This capability is only available to the ultimate workspace owner, and not individual authorised users within a specific account (in that instance the account owner will be responsible for continuity of care).

2. Designation of Successor

  • Appointment: Account holders may designate a successor who will assume control of the account in the event of their death or incapacitation. This designation must be made in writing and submitted to Tacklit.

  • Documentation: Account holders must provide the following information for the designated successor:

    • Full name

    • Contact information (address, phone number, email)

    • Relationship to the account holder

Please note we can only accept named individuals in the role of successor (not organisations or other entities).

Please nominate your designated successor via the secure online application form below.

3. Notification and Verification

  • Notification: In the event of the account holder’s death or incapacitation, the designated successor or a legal representative must notify Tacklit as soon as possible.

  • Verification: Tacklit will require documentation to verify the death or incapacitation of the account holder. This may include a death certificate or a letter from a medical professional. And Tacklit may, in its sole discretion, take steps to verify information provided independently.

4. Transfer of Account

  • Authorisation: Upon verification, Tacklit will authorise the transfer of the account to the designated successor.

  • Access: The designated successor will be granted full access to the account, including all associated data and services.

5. Responsibilities of the Successor

  • Management: The designated successor will be responsible for managing the account in accordance with Tacklit’s terms and conditions.

  • Confidentiality: The successor must maintain the confidentiality of all account information and use it responsibly.

6. Amendment and Revocation

  • Changes: Account holders can amend or revoke their designation of a successor at any time by providing written notice to Tacklit.

  • Confirmation: Tacklit will confirm any changes or revocations in writing to ensure clarity and prevent unauthorised modifications.
