NZ Privacy Policy

Last Modified: October 2025

Tacklit is committed to maintaining the privacy and confidentiality of personal information. This policy explains how we handle information for users and organisations located in New Zealand, in compliance with the Privacy Act 2020 and the Health Information Privacy Code 2020 (HIP Code).

1. Introduction

Tacklit interacts with personal data in three main ways:

(i) Data Controller – Customer Information

We act as a data controller when collecting and using information from healthcare professionals and their teams. This includes details provided when registering for a Tacklit account, using our platform, engaging with support or communicating with our team.

(ii) Data Processor – Patient / Client Information

When healthcare providers use Tacklit to manage client care, we act solely as a data processor. This means we process patient information on behalf of our customers, in line with their instructions. The healthcare provider is the data controller and remains responsible for how that information is collected and used.

(iii) Data Controller – Direct Interactions

If you engage with us directly — for example, by booking a demo, attending an event or contacting us — we may collect some information to respond to your enquiry or provide resources. We may also process publicly available information about healthcare professionals (e.g. registration or practice affiliation) for professional engagement.

Personal information” means any information about an identifiable individual, including health information.
